Matlab sits where the Meghna meets the Dhonagoda. The same riverbank holds the icddr,b Matlab centre, where oral rehydration was proved — a discovery credited with saving more than 50 million lives.
That habit of looking after one another travelled with the students. From Law and Economics to Computer Science, Medicine, and Business, Matlab Uttar and Matlab Dakshin are present in every faculty. DUSAM keeps the fraternity, the practical help, and the memory that lets the next batch begin where the last one left off.

“When a student from Matlab enters the gates of Dhaka University, they carry the aspirations of our entire upazila. DUSAM ensures they never have to walk that journey alone.”
“Through our emergency blood network, admission mentorship, and alumni circle, unity becomes a service — for the upazila and for the university.”Mahfuzur Rahman Shakil · General Secretary · Computer Science & Engineering
